Hi! My name is Hamasa Shir-Mohammad. My journey as a first-time home buyer and curiosity in the process sparked an illuminating interest in the real estate industry. After wrestling with the idea of purchasing my first place, I finally decided to give it a shot and contacted my mortgage broker to help me run the numbers and see what it would take for me to achieve this milestone. After leaving the broker’s office, I was thrilled to have identified the exact step by step plan in buying my first place and a short few months later, I bought my first place! The thrilling feeling of having this daunting process simplified really stuck with me and it didn’t take me long to realize that I would love to be the same source of joy to all of my friends, family and colleagues. That was my biggest “Why”. Now I have another why, and that is what is keeping me driven and motivated. Prior to this, I have received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and later worked in the recruitment industry for four years. It was a rewarding job and my favourite part about it was helping change other people’s lives. Originally from Afghanistan, I have experience living in Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, and now, Canada. I speak Dari, Farsi, Russian, English, and some Spanish. During my free time I like to travel, spend time with my loved ones and enjoy the beautiful nature British Columbia has to offer. As I get older, I realize that as much as money is important in life, relationships are what make life beautiful. This is why in addition to helping my clients feel the thrill that I felt, I hope to maintain and grow the relationships I create through the amazing opportunities this industry has to offer.
